Joan Rivers’ daughter says her mother is “resting comfortably” after being rushed to a hospital in New York City on Thursday morning following complications during an outpatient throat surgery.

Melissa Rivers hopped on a flight to New York from Los Angeles after news broke that the “Fashion Police” star had been rushed from a Manhattan doctor’s office to nearby Mt. Sinai Hospital.

“I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother. She is resting comfortably and is with our family,” Melissa Rivers said in a statement.

“We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.”

The 81-year-old comic was taken to Mt. Sinai around 9:30 a.m. Thursday after authorities fielded a call about a woman who was in either respiratory or cardiac arrest.

Joan Rivers was said to be in critical condition when emergency medical services arrived; her condition was stabilized later at the hospital, sources told several outlets.

She’d reportedly stopped breathing during the outpatient surgery, according to TMZ, which first reported the news.
