Michael Strahan and his fiancee, Nicole Murphy, have called off their five-year engagement.

The “Live! With Kelly and Michael” host and former football star released a statement on the matter through his rep Friday.

“They love each other very much, but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship,” his rep said in a statement to The Times.

The former New York Giants defensive end began dating Murphy in 2007.

Strahan, 42, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, proposed to her in 2009.

It would have been the third marriage for Strahan and the second for Murphy.

The part-time “Good Morning America” co-host was previously wed to Wanda Hutchins, with whom he has two children, but they divorced in 1996. He then married Jean Muggli in 1999, but they divorced in 2006 following accusations that the NFL vet had beaten her, cheated on her and ignored their two children. Strahan spoke out and denied those allegations in 2012 after he replaced Regis Philbin on “Live!”

Murphy, 46, was married to comedian Eddie Murphy from 1993 to 2006, and they had five children together. Following their split, she went on to star in VH1’s reality series “Hollywood Exes” in 2012.

Looks like she could end up back on the reality show for a whole new breakup...

People was first to report the breakup.
