Alfonso Ribeiro makes baby announcement on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Alfonso Ribeiro’s ballroom fever got the best of him on Monday with the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum announcing that he’s expecting another baby.

He of the Carlton dance spilled the beans after earning 36 out of 40 points for his rumba with partner Witney Carson. His elation then turned to his 1-year-old son, Alfonso Lincoln, who was also celebrating his birthday that day.

“My son’s first birthday is today,” Ribeiro said. “As a wonderful present, my wife and I decided to get him a brother or sister. We’re having a baby!”

Some present! This will be Ribeiro’s second child with wife Angela Unkrich, whom he wed in October 2012. The couple welcomed Alfonso in October 2013.

Ribeiro is also dad to 12-year-old daughter, Sienna, from his previous marriage to Robin Stapler.

“I wanted to announce it here,” the actor later told co-host Erin Andrews. “I wanted to say thank you to all the fans and to say I love my wife.”

His son and wife were also in the audience on Monday night.

After the show, the former “Catch 21” host revealed that he was happy to finally share the news: “We are certainly along the way. This is not new news. We’ve been holding it for a long time!”

Though he still didn’t know if they were having another boy or a baby girl, Ribeiro said that “it’s going to be springtime, springtime baby.”
