It’s neither a bird nor a plane -- it’s a split for Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander.

The “Supergirl” actor and the “Blindspot” star have called off their engagement, Facinelli’s rep confirmed to The Times on Monday.

The split is “due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts,” the rep said, adding, “after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicably and remain good friends.”

Indeed, Alexander’s “Blindspot” shoots in New York and Facinelli’s recurring role as supervillain-in-the-making Maxwell Lord on CBS’ “Supergirl” has him staying in or near L.A. He also has family commitments to coordinate, as he has three daughters with ex-wife Jennie Garth of “Beverly Hills, 90210” fame.

The “Twilight” alum popped the question to his former “‘Nurse Jackie” costar in March 2015 by proposing at the top of New York’s Empire State Building.

It would have been the first marriage for the “Thor” actress and the second for Facinelli.
