In a slew of reports out Tuesday, Lindsay Lohan and Egor Tarabasov, her boyfriend of less than a year, were said to be engaged — but now her rep is calling the story “untrue.”

The Russian heir, 22, who met his 29-year-old fiancée through mutual friends at a party, supposedly proposed to Lohan over the weekend, TMZ reported around noon on the West Coast. Other outlets followed up with their own confirmations, all via unnamed sources.

However, a few hours later, People published a comment from the actress’ rep, Hunter Frederick, who called the story “untrue” with “no merit.”

Of course, no engagement doesn’t mean there isn’t a relationship.

Egor met Lindsay’s family last Christmas in New York and the couple recently moved in together in London, according to Gossip Cop. Lohan moved there in 2014 for a stage role in “Speed-the-Plow.”

A source told Gossip Cop (which by the afternoon had downgraded its story to an “8” from a “10” on the truth scale) that the two families would be celebrating the alleged engagement soon in the United States. Tarabasov’s billionaire dad operates out of Moscow.

Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan, apparently likes her daughter’s beau, who according to Gossip Cop works in real estate.

“He is cute. He’s a sweetheart. No, he’s just a really good person,” Dina Lohan told Us Weekly in March. “The tabloids are like, ‘Oh, he’s so much younger.’ But he’s very mature, very worldly. They love each other.”

LiLo, meanwhile, was mum on social media as of Tuesday afternoon, except for noting that she was checking out a fabulous destination for her July 2 birthday.

“I haven’t known Egor for that long ... ,” Lohan told the Sun in March. “He is a great guy. I met him in the summer. I’m really happy.” She also slammed the notion that he was the reason she was following life’s rules of late.

“I came to London by myself. Being here is such a big deal,” she told the tabloid. “I didn’t have anyone here at first.”
