Kevin Garnett is back in Minnesota, and he wants to thank Timberwolves fans for all of the support they’ve shown him since his return to the team last month.

So he’s decided to give away 1,000 tickets he purchased to Monday’s game in Minneapolis against the Clippers.

Garnett announced the giveaway Sunday, saying the tickets will be given away on the team’s website Monday morning. The first 500 fans to claim the tickets will each get two seats to the game, the Associated Press reported.

“As a gesture of thanks, I would like to treat some fans to Monday night’s game against the Clippers,” Garnett said in a statement. “Love you all, and thanks for the love. Enjoy the game on me.”

Garnett, 38, was reacquired by the Timberwolves in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 19. He played the first 12 seasons of his career in Minnesota before being shipped to the Boston Celtics in 2007.

The 15-time All-Star said the support he has received from Timberwolves fans since his return “has been nothing short of amazing.”
