Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is a tough guy to guard.

So the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony decided to get creative. During the fourth quarter of the Warriors’ 116-95 victory Sunday night, Anthony put his hand on Curry’s forehead at the top of the three-point arc.

“I was just putting my hand up,” said Anthony, who was called for a foul on the play. “I didn’t want him to raise up. Helluva player. I was just trying to figure out a way how you can stop him.”

Anthony’s move may not have been successful, but it did leave a mark. After the game, Curry laughed while attributing a prominent scratch on his forehead to “some, uh, great defense” by Anthony.

Asked if he meant that Anthony’s hand to his forehead caused the mark, Curry nodded. “I’m glad they called a foul, though,” he said.

Curry tweeted a photo that displayed the scratch on Monday morning.

Pretty sure he’s going to live.
