NFL fines Peyton Manning $8,258 for taunting, report says
The NFL has fined Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning $8,258 for taunting during last Saturday’s preseason game against the Houston Texans, according to ESPN.
“I accept the fine,” Manning told the website. “It’s money well spent.”
Manning was flagged for taunting Houston safety D.J. Swearinger after Swearinger’s hit on Wes Welker left the Broncos receiver with a concussion.
The incident marked the first time in Manning’s career that he had been flagged for taunting.
