NFL oddly tweets congrats to ‘Bachelorette’ couple; is hacker still at it?

Has the NFL’s Twitter feed been hacked again?

The league’s official account sent out a congratulatory tweet to Jordan Rodgers and JoJo Fletcher on Monday after she chose him as the winner on ABC’s “The Bachelorette.”

The whole thing seems very bizarre.

The tweet was accompanied by a 30-second clip of Rodgers’ football highlights. None of them were from the NFL, though, and for good reason.

Rodgers was a pretty good college quarterback at Vanderbilt who never played in an NFL game or even made a team’s final roster. The closest he came to NFL glory was several months on Tampa Bay’s practice squad during the 2013 season.

Of course, Rodgers has another connection to the NFL in his older brother, Aaron Rodgers. But “The Bachelorette” contestant pointed out during the show’s run that he and the Green Bay Packers quarterback don’t have much, if any, of a relationship.

'The Bachelorette' finally asks: How does NFL pro Aaron Rodgers feel? »

A quick Google search suggests the league didn’t tweet out congratulations to Hines Ward and Donald Driver when they won “Dancing With the Stars” in 2012 and 2011, and they were both star players at the time.

Plus, with training camps starting for all NFL teams within the last week or so, the league has more than enough material to fill its social media needs.

Hey, did they ever catch the person who somehow got into the NFL’s verified Twitter account earlier this summer and tweeted out the false information that Commissioner Roger Goodell had died?

Just curious.
