Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said Friday that it will be a game-time decision whether Blake Griffin will play Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Before members of the media were escorted out of the early morning practice, Griffin, who is dealing with issues with his right knee, could be seen taking jump shots. He didn’t talk to reporters.

“Blake, we’re just watching,” Rivers said during his talk with the media.

When asked if it was Griffin’s knee injury that’s still bothering the power forward, Rivers said, “Yeah, or something.”

“I don’t pay attention,” Rivers said. “But I know.”

Rivers was then asked if Griffin will play against the Pelicans at Staples Center.

“I don’t know yet,” Rivers said. “I will know today.”

When the Clippers played the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis two weeks ago, Griffin wore a black sleeve on his right leg with a compression pad on his right knee.

Griffin said then that he had some “swelling” in his right calf after being kicked during the Clippers game against the Detroit Pistons game on Nov. 25.
