Usain Bolt to run just four more times this season
Fans will get only a few more glimpses of the world’s fastest man this track season.
Usain Bolt has finalized his 2014 schedule with four more appearances through August.
According to a post on his website, the six-time Olympic champion will not race in the 100 meters at the upcoming Commonwealth Games but will represent Jamaica in the 400-meter relay.
Then, he will run the 100 meters at a special event on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, and at meets in Poland and Switzerland.
That means Bolt will not run his other specialty -- the 200 meters -- and will not face off against Justin Gatlin, the American sprinter who has won a string of races this year.
